Ember & Oak

Strike the match and imagine the first curl of warmth rising from a wood-burning fireplace. The air begins to fill with the rich scent of oak, warm and dry, with that faint toasted edge you smell when a log first catches fire.

A few minutes later, the room changes. The wood grows deeper and warmer, the way split oak smells stacked beside a hot hearth. There’s a soft trace of smoke in the air, not heavy or campfire-like, just enough to give it that wonderful smoldering-wood smell. Underneath it all is a smooth warmth that takes the sharp edge off the woods and makes the fragrance feel rich and comfortable.

Close your eyes and you’re in a quiet cabin on a cold evening. The fire has burned down to glowing orange embers. The room is warm. There’s an old wooden table nearby, a heavy blanket across the chair, and when you breathe in, you catch that lingering scent of heated oak, glowing wood, and the last wisps of smoke from the fireplace.
